Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Kiln & Kettle. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, your bookings, and all services we provide. By using this site or attending a session, you agree to these Terms.

1. Booking & Payment

Workshops must be booked online in advance.
A €15 seating fee per painter is required to confirm your booking. This includes use of paints, glazing, and the firing of one ceramic piece.
Bookings are only confirmed once the €15 is paid in full.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by phone or email to receive a full refund. Late cancellations are not refundable due to preparation costs.

2. On the Day of Your Workshop

You’ll choose your ceramic item from our on-site display. Prices range from €15 to €65.
You may choose to paint additional items during your session; these are paid for separately at the end.
All items painted are subject to our firing schedule (see Section 5).

3. Food & Beverages

Light refreshments are available on-site for purchase, including:
- Artisan coffee and tea
- Cakes and sandwiches
- Prosecco (when available)
Outside food and drink are not permitted.

4. Are children welcome?

Absolutely — little artists are more than welcome! That said, painting ceramics is a calm and focused activity that lasts around two hours, and our space is filled with delicate pieces. Every child is different, so we kindly ask parents and carers to consider whether their little one will enjoy this kind of experience. If they love being creative and can stay engaged for a while, we’d be delighted to have them join in!

5. Firing & Pickup

Your painted piece will be glazed and fired, and will be ready for collection in approximately 3 weeks.
We’ll hold your item for up to 4 weeks. After that, unclaimed items may be discarded or repurposed.
Shipping is not recommended due to fragility, but can be arranged by special request (additional charges may apply).

6. Private Hire

We offer private studio rentals for evening events.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 7 days before the event.
Rental includes use of space, tables, seating, and post-event cleanup.
Please email us directly for private event bookings.

7. Health & Safety

Please inform us in advance of any allergies, access needs, or medical conditions so we can best support your experience.
The studio space is cosy; wheelchair access and other accommodations are limited but we will always try to help where possible.

8. Studio Conduct

We strive to maintain a respectful, joyful atmosphere. All guests are expected to:

Treat staff, other guests, and the space with kindness.
Avoid disruptive, offensive, or aggressive behavior.

We reserve the right to ask anyone violating these terms to leave without refund.

9. Hand-Painted Ceramics Disclaimer

All items are hand-painted by you and finished by us. This means:
- Small imperfections may appear during firing.
- These are not considered flaws but part of the unique charm of handmade work.
We cannot guarantee exact color reproduction or firing results.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including photos, branding, and written material, is the property of Kiln & Kettle and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Injuries sustained during studio activities
Loss of personal property
Unclaimed or damaged ceramic items post-firing

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via this page. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of updated Terms.
