✨ Collaboration with Froobel – Dip, Sip & Paint ✨
Darlings… prepare yourselves. 💫
Together with the wonderful creatives at Froobel, we’ll be dipping our own candles (yes, real waxy goodness!) and painting beautiful ceramic candle holders.
Froobel brengt alles mee om te dippen, wij zorgen voor the paint, the atmosphere, and of course… champagne. An evening to light you up from the inside out.
You don’t want to miss this. Atmosphere, creativity, bubbles and your own handmade masterpiece? Count us in.
Moms, daughters, oma’s en so much love
We had so many mom-daughter dates, grandma visits, and sweet family moments. Heart-melting stuff.
One busy mom with three kids popped in with just her son – a quiet moment for just the two of them. He painted a giant flowerpot with intense focus – totally in the zone. A joy to witness.
Another day: a mom, her daughter and her own mother – a gorgeous three-generation date. The mom painted a round plate bursting with chili peppers and the word MAMACITA in the centre. That plate had sass – and so did she. Fire and fabulous. Her daughter, little Madison, painted the sweetest small plate, helped gently by grandma. It was all love and laughter.

We welcomed an Australian mom and daughter duo – the little girl was gifted a balloon and practically levitated with joy. Pure, unfiltered happiness.
Then two girlfriends came for a girly date. Her friend painted a vase full of joyful colours. They chatted and laughed the whole time – absolute bliss.
And the fabulous trio: a mother, daughter, and daughter-in-law. One painted an emotional support crab clutching a martini glass – we’re obsessed. Another created a gallery-worthy fruit plate, and the third made the cutest little cupcake for her granddaughter’s birthday. Stunning, sweet and so thoughtful.
A mother and her 12-year-old daughter painted together – the daughter created a full scene from the film Up, complete with floating balloons. Unbelievably talented.
Her mom experimented with a new scratch technique on her strawberry plate – the result? Briljant.

Girl gangs, solo stars & quiet magic
Zaterdagochtend – wow. A big group of girls came in – laughing, sharing, painting. Hun verhalen over vriendschap, heimwee en aanpassing – combined with mimosas and paint splatters – made for a stunning morning.

A young woman came in solo – just her, a brush and some peace. She painted a delicate teacup and basked in the calm. That’s self-care, darling.
A mother of two came by herself to paint two birthday plates for her boys – something they can use year after year. A reminder of why we do this.

Babyshower bliss & sweet brunches
Sunday morning brought tears of joy. We hosted a surprise baby shower for a little boy on the way. The mom-to-be’s friend emailed us – her mother and aunt were visiting from abroad, and she wanted to make it special.
It was a perfect brunch: scones with cream cheese, fruit skewers, tomato-mozzarella bites, quiche… and of course, painting.
Toen de mommy-to-be binnenkwam… she saw her friends waiting and burst into tears. And yes – so did we. It was honest, full of love, unforgettable.

A golden anniversary worth celebrating
Then something extra special: a full custom dinnerware set for a 50-year wedding anniversary.
As a surprise from their daughter, each child helped decorate a plate – adding touches, names and love. A family heirloom in the making.
And then we received this note:

Moments like this remind us what handmade truly means.
A tiny whisper of scandal
Darlings, you know I never gossip… unless it’s dipped in glaze and fired at 1050°C. 👀
A chic guest arrived, dressed to perfection – and began painting… upside down. Entirely.
We gently told her halfway through, and she just laughed, “Darling, I’m abstract.”
And honestly? It was fabulous. We’re calling it deconstructivist brunchware.
Tot snel, darling. Whether you come to dip candles, paint plates, or just breathe for a while – The Kiln & Kettle is always ready for you.
You, a brush, and a story. See you at the table.
With love,
Charlotte Kiln
Burning at 1050°C – emotionally and otherwise.
