Darlings, we hebben het meest luminous nieuws! We're positively flickering with excitement to announce a sparkling new collaboration with none other than the magical Frobel - de koningin van met liefde gegoten . Her creations? Sensual, soft, and smelling like heaven. Think hand-poured elegance wrapped in warmth and wonder. 

And now for the glow-up: we invite you to join us for an enchanting evening in our Heemstede studio. First, you'll pour your very own candle under Frobel gentle guidance. Then, you'll paint a bespoke kandelaar (candleholder) to match your mood, your décor, or perhaps just your favourite prosecco shade. Natuurlijk bakken we je masterpiece in onze kiln zodat je met iets unieks naar huis gaat. It's candlelight, clay and creativity — all wrapped up in one dreamy evening. Datum en tickets komen zéér binnenkort online, so keep your eyes (and inboxes) peeled. Kaarslicht, kunst en een beetje bubbles? Ja graag.

Afternoons Like These (De mooiste middagen beginnen met een beetje verf en een heleboel liefde.) 

Darlings, sometimes an afternoon tiptoes in and leaves a gentle shimmer in its 

wake. That's exactly what happened this week, when a lovely mother and her dochtertje joined us for what turned into a quietly magical visit. The little one was joy personified. She twirled, she giggled, she picked out the sweetest little mug and painted it with such focus and flair. Her name, proudly written in the brightest rainbow tones, danced across the surface like a promise of things to come. Her mama? Graceful and warm. She chose a petite melkkan and adorned it with delicate hand-painted bloemen, each one placed with gentle care. Een subtiel kunstwerkje vol liefde. Over thee, cake (chocolate and carrot naturally), and the soft hum of connection, we swapped stories, laughed like old friends, and savoured a moment that felt timeless. To our surprise and delight, this wonderful guest later posted about her visit with the kindest words. It was a moment of true connection - and a reminder that The Kiln & Kettle isn't just a cafe, it's a space for shared joy, thoughtful conversation, and the magic of making something by hand. Thank you, lieve dames. You warmed our hearts right down to the cake crumbs. 

The Crown Jewels of Kiln & Kettle (Een kroon voor een koninkrijk van creativiteit - met dank aan een ware meester.) 

You know we adore a bit of sparkle - but today, we're shining outright. Because something regal has arrived. A crown. Not just any crown. A custom- designed, utterly fabulous sculptural piece created for us by none other than our beloved Rudi from Unsaid. And my goodness, it's a stunner. This crown isn't for wearing (though frankly, we'd try). It's for honouring the magic that lives in our little studio. Nestled within it you'll find delicate nods to all that we hold dear - een prosecco glas, een cupcake, a cheeky little teapot. Every detail is a whisper of whimsy, sculpted in ceramic poetry. Rudi, our kiln king and creative genius, 

captured the very soul of Kiln & Kettle. This crown isn't just decor. It's a celebration. A coronation. A reminder that our messy, marvellous, joy-soaked little kingdom deserves to be crowned. Dankjewel, Rudi. We bow deeply - and we beam with pride. 

The Final Blossom in Charlotte's Court (Wanneer jong talent onze muren tot leven brengt.) 

Something truly special bloomed this week. A young guest (and daughter of our dear Caren) joined us quietly in the studio. No fanfare. Just focus. In half an hour, she transformed a canvas into a breathtaking tree - graceful, expressive, and full of heart. Each branch stretched with intention. Every leaf shimmered with imagination. En opeens voelde Charlotte's Court compleet. With her brushstrokes, she added the final bloom to our creative royal family. De toekomst ziet er creatief uit, en we voelen ons vereerd om een stukje daarvan op onze muren te hebben. 

Of Frogs, Red Lips, and the Magic of Women (Een weekend vol verhalen, verf en verbondenheid.) 

Friday afternoon began with a twinkle. A stylish mother and her sweet daughter joined us, and the energy was pure joy. The mom? She painted a bowl so cheeky and brilliant it made us cackle. A frog in a costume red lips, bold attitude, undeniable flair. Her daughter? Gentle, curious, and completely absorbed in her creations. Her joy was quiet, but it radiated. Then came Saturday morning. The studio filled with incredible women. Women with stories, spark, and soul. Ze deelden thee, cake, en geheimen. They lifted each other, laughed deeply, and created stunning pieces brimming with meaning. It was electric. From tales of new homes 

and fresh starts to hard-won victories and quiet pride - every glaze held something sacred.

A Birthday to Remember at Kiln & Kettle (Een feestelijke middag vol kleur, cupcakes en gelach.) 

Darlings, we hosted the most darling verjaardagsfeestje this week - and it was 

everything. A radiant young birthday girl invited her closest friends for a celebration of colour, creativity and cupcakes (the pink-iced chocolate ones were dangerously good). 

The studio buzzed with giggles, Spotify sing-alongs, and brushstrokes full of imagination. Elk meisje schilderde iets moois, met liefde en plezier. By the end, there were painted treasures drying on the shelves, frosting on happy faces, and memories made to last a 

lifetime. Lieve jarige, thank you for letting us be part of your day. We loved every moment. 

Masterpieces Ready to Shine (De mooiste creaties verdienen hun moment in het zonnetje.) 

Darlings, the kiln has spoken - and it has spoken in technicolour. 

Some truly breathtaking pieces have emerged this week. Every piece tells a story — of care, creativity, and quiet magic. And Charlotte? She's glowing with pride. Emails are fluttering out to let you know your treasures are ready for collection. Maar als je het echt niet kunt afwachten (en we begrijpen dat volkomen), kom vooral langs tussen woensdag en zaterdag, van 10:00 tot 17:00. We can't wait for you to see what you've made.
