What a whirlwind these past two weeks have been — in the very best way! Our little studio has been alive with creativity, laughter, and the kind of moments that leave you glowing long after the day has ended. From the sparkle of the Heemstede Fashion Show to our candlelit collaboration with Frøbel, every day has brought its own touch of wonder.
At the heart of it all? The wonderful people we’ve had the joy of welcoming through our doors. Guests, friends, artists, neighbours - each one adding their light to the story we’re writing together. A special thank you to Heemstede Winkelcentrum for their encouragement and photo shoot magic. Your support has lifted us higher than we could ever have imagined.
As autumn wraps us in her golden embrace, the studio feels warmer than ever. The air is cooler, the light softer, and somehow these cozy months make painting, creating, and connecting even more magical.

Featured Artist: Marlene Meijer @art_by_marlene
Some artists don’t just paint — they pour out sunshine. Marlene is one of those rare souls. Born in South Africa, seasoned by Dubai, and now thriving here in the Netherlands, she carries a vibrancy and confidence that radiates through every brushstroke.
Her art is instantly recognisable: bold, colourful, alive. Watching her paint on ceramics is like watching joy itself unfold — each line sure, each detail playful, each piece full of energy.
Her mermaid plate, painted during her visit, was pure enchantment: shimmering scales of aqua and green, flowing pink hair, coral starfish dancing across the surface. It felt like capturing a little piece of the ocean.
Marlene, you filled our studio with laughter, colour, and stardust. Dank je wel for sharing your time, your talent, and your light. You truly bewitched us.

Candles, Ceramics & Champagne
Some evenings sparkle brighter than others. Our candle-dipping evening with Frøbel was one of them.

The incredible Miranda brought not only her craft but also her warmth, humour, and friendship — the perfect host to guide us through an evening of candle-dipping paired with ceramic candle-holder painting. From the first pour of champagne, the air was alive with laughter and the glow of creativity.

Floating candles lit the room, brushes danced, wax twirled, and magic took shape. More than just an event, it was a celebration of women supporting women, of collaboration over competition. Together, we created something unforgettable — proof that when creativity and friendship meet, sparks will always fly.

Floating candles, cobwebs, and plenty of spooky ceramics to paint — it promises to be an unforgettable night.
